We are pleased to announce that Marleen Veenstra, Guy Pegels and Max Hetterscheidt were appointed counsel.

Marleen starts as counsel in our finance practice group. Her expertise includes finance and security rights, with a focus on syndicated loans, acquisition finance and general corporate lending. Marleen represents banks and other lenders as well as borrowers and has extensive experience in cross-border transactions. Marleen started her career as a lawyer at Allen & Overy. She then gained years of experience in-house as senior legal counsel at ABN AMRO Bank. With this transfer to Stek she returns to private practice as a lawyer.
Guy started his career at Stek and has been active in our finance practice group for over ten years. He has extensive experience in leveraged finance, general corporate lending and cross-border financings with a sector focus on leisure financing transactions. Guy served as (seconded) legal counsel for ABN AMRO Bank in 2017.
Max works in the dispute resolution department. He has ample experience in cross border litigation & arbitration. His practice covers the full range of commercial litigation, with an emphasis on contractual and tort-law liability, the enforcement of court orders and private international law. Max regularly acts as counsel in (international) arbitration. He is recommended in the Legal 500 EMEA 2019 and 2021 for commercial litigation. Max started his career as lawyer at Houthoff and Allen & Overy and transferred to Stek at the beginning of 2018.
